Year 3 Science

Our Year 3 students are embarking on an exciting scientific journey inspired by the renowned naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian. Under the guidance of Ms. Kenny, they are immersing themselves in the fascinating world of metamorphosis through engaging activities.

Alongside learning about the life cycle of butterflies, the Year 3s drew butterflies to signify the transformative process of metamorphosis. This hands-on approach, aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy, encourages students to think creatively and explore scientific concepts with curiosity and enthusiasm.

They learned that scientific inquiry is not confined to laboratories and textbooks but permeates every aspect of our lives, offering endless opportunities for exploration and discovery.

We are immensely proud of the enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated by our Year 3 students and look forward to witnessing their continued growth and achievements.
